About Drop Back In Academy (DBIA)

There are thousands of dropouts in America, and all have the ability to finish high school. Alternatives Unlimited (AU) helps them "drop back in" with a program that fits their schedule and their needs.....

The Drop Back In program is designed for young people, ages 16-21, who for various reasons, left school; but still aspire to graduate with a high school diploma, rather than a GED. They genuinely desire to obtain one and will work hard to earn it, despite whatever circumstances led them off track previously.

DBI combines computer assisted lessons through NovaNET Learning Systems, with whole group instruction in English, Math, Science, and various electives that allow students to pick up wherever they left off in traditional school.

Students who have clearly "fallen through the cracks" have the chance to earn diplomas, as well as continue on to college and become productive members of society.

Once enrolled, The Drop Back In Program serves students from their home school district, by requiring the student complete only the credits necessary for graduation.

Our Mission:
To motivate and instruct "at-risk" students, including those who have not been successful in a regular school setting, including those identified as emotionally disturbed or behavior disordered, in safe, orderly, and academically challenging environments.

Our Philosophy:
Alternatives Unlimited schools operate on the simple philosophy that all students can learn, although they may learn in different ways on different days.

It is the school's responsibility - and mission - to diagnose and address those differences. AU provides small classes, individual instruction and the use of quality resources, including online computer labs.
